A Chill is in the Air

Well it is the week before Thanksgiving and it is getting cold here.  The leaves are almost all blown off the trees; and the days are hazy and sunless.  And all I got to say about that is 'Blah'.

Been crocheting, I have finished five hats for Christmas gifts and am working on a matching scarf for one of them.  Can't load up pics of them now, or wandering eyes might see them ... shh.

Been making Christmas cards for deployed military people; for a project with the DAV Auxiliary.

TGIF

Today has been a crummy day; dh has been arguing with me all day. But I am off in my office/studio and am determined to get into a better mood. Playing my favorite playlist in itunes. Trying to fight off a headache.
Things I have been up to lately:
Been to the DAV Auxiiliary meeting this week.
Went bowling last night with my second son, his wife and daughter.
Been working on my 2 year old granddaughter's Denin Cathedral Window Princess quilt; got 2 rows done and ready to attach to the main part of the quilt; and 2 more rows ready to be joined together.
Had a crazy amount of birthdays this month:
My middle daughter turned 21; my oldest son turned 25; my youngest daughter turned 16; my second grandaughter turned 2.
Also it was the birthday month for my sister-in-law, two aunts, cousin, and a brother.
Personally life seems to be transitioning again; as I move from place to place [sometimes physically, but more often moving emotionally or in life decisions.

DAV Meeting

We went to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) meeting the other night. Hubby is a life member; and I am a member of the Auxiliary and our 2 youngest kids are Junior Auxiliary members.
There was a pot luck meal before the meeting. Then the men go in one room, the women in another and the kids in a third.
I was appointed the chairman of the community service committee, at least I think that is the right title. I am new and am still some what confused as to what I am supposed to do.
