Quilt Idea

I saw a quilt online a day or two ago; and liked it; so I tried to draft it out. Changed the colors and I think I like how it turned out.

Creativity

Been expressing myself creativity a lot lately. Besides drawing which I am doing a lot more often; the last couple days, I have been painting cardstock for future art projects.
These are all done randomly and freehand with a brush.

My Drawing "Jubilation"

This is one of my first drawings. I call it "Jubilation" because I was overjoyed to allow myself the freedom to draw. I always felt like I did not have any talent, so I didn't try. This took me a long time, partially because of how detailed it is; but probably more so that I would seriously overthink it before putting pencil to paper.

The sketchpad is slightly larger than the scanning area of my printer-scanner-copier; so it is a little fuzzy.

I feel that allow yourself to express yourself creatively in one area can open up your creativity in other areas.

Rearranging and Organizing

For a while now my two youngest kids (the only two left home) have been trying to convince me to give up my craft studio / office; so that they each can have their own bedrooms.
Well yesterday we did it. They had assured me that that would do everything and I wouldn't have to "lift a finger". Ha!!
So now I have two happily separate teenagers; and one overly full but organized living room - craft studio - office.
But I can sit at my desk and watch television, lol.
I keep repeating to myself ... I will have my own room someday ... I WILL have my own room someday ... I will have my OWN ROOM someday ... I will have my own room SOMEDAY ...

I WILL HAVE MY OWN ROOM SOMEDAY!!!!

(with a longarm quilting machine in it, please).

TGIF

Today has been a crummy day; dh has been arguing with me all day. But I am off in my office/studio and am determined to get into a better mood. Playing my favorite playlist in itunes. Trying to fight off a headache.
Things I have been up to lately:
Been to the DAV Auxiiliary meeting this week.
Went bowling last night with my second son, his wife and daughter.
Been working on my 2 year old granddaughter's Denin Cathedral Window Princess quilt; got 2 rows done and ready to attach to the main part of the quilt; and 2 more rows ready to be joined together.
Had a crazy amount of birthdays this month:
My middle daughter turned 21; my oldest son turned 25; my youngest daughter turned 16; my second grandaughter turned 2.
Also it was the birthday month for my sister-in-law, two aunts, cousin, and a brother.
Personally life seems to be transitioning again; as I move from place to place [sometimes physically, but more often moving emotionally or in life decisions.
